Tiny Tees Golf provide a specially designed group children's activity programme which is based around the game of golf. It is specifically intended for very young children, ages 3 and over. The simplest elements of golf are built into the games and activities which are run in a group setting by the Tiny Tees instructor. Golf for kids with Tiny Tees is above all fun!
Courses are held at indoor venues in Hurstpierpoint, Crawley and Horsham, (West Sussex); Hove, (East Sussex) and Chelmsford, (Essex).
What can I expect my pre-school child to learn about golf?
Tiny Tees Golf sessions are designed to demonstrate the basic concept of golf through taking part in games and fun activities based around the long game, chipping, putting and golf etiquette. Every week there is a new theme such as grip, stance, aim, posture, back swing and follow through. Children also learn about generic principles such as taking turns and have the opportunity to gain confidence when they succeed in learning something new.
Can a 3 year old learn how to play golf?
If a child is able to stand up and hold a golf club then they can begin to enjoy the basic idea of golf. Children learn through imitation and will naturally begin swinging a golf club once shown how to do it. A very young child will not be able to comprehend the rules and details of golf, however the fundamentals of swinging a club and hitting a ball are things that most youngsters will readily pick up.
What sort of equipment is used?
The equipment is specifically designed for young children and enables them to play safely and easily. The clubs are oversize plastic and sponge balls are used. Various other props and features are used in the activities, such as targets and oversized tees.
What is the age range within groups?
Tiny Tees Golf only accept children aged 3 and over and wherever possible we aim to arrange children into groups of a similar age.
Each session is 30 minutes in duration.
